Trial Run

I just got back from Venezuela. While I was there I met some folks that convinced me to try blogspot. First, this dude from South Africa, Declann Harris, was in this same group as me for a trek up mount Roraima in the Gran Sabana of Venezuela. An amazing trip. The second person that got me thinking I might try this out I met on the way back home on the plane. For the first time ever I sat next to an attractive and interesting young female instead of some fat dude that wants to fall asleep on me. So, this girl, Ninah Mars, made me feel old and lame and totally not hip for not being with it and having a blogspot and/or a myspace. I need to get an ipod too, or at least a cell phone. Of course, my friend and fellow grad student Yann Klimentidis has also been using blogspot for some time and recommended that I give it a go. We'll see if I keep up with this thing and make postings with any regularity. I give it a 50% chance.
